Manchester United

A new striker is considered absolutely crucial for Manchester United this summer. For now, nothing has changed with Harry Kane, it will depend on Tottenham’s future and new manager, and they will try to extend his contract. Kane is considered the perfect striker for Erik ten Hag, but there are no talks yet.

Victor Osimhen is also on Manchester United’s list, as well as Chelsea’s. Some reports have mentioned a €110-115m price tag, but it will be a lot more than that, closer to €150m. This is too expensive for Bayern Munich, and so they are targeting Randal Kolo Muani instead.

Manchester United are still interested in Adrien Rabiot after talks collapsed last summer. The Frenchman is appreciated by Erik ten Hag. However, nothing is advanced yet as there are many clubs in the race and timing depends on club sale. Juve offered him new deal but him staying there looks unlikely. Bayern Munich also like the player.

Erik ten Hag when asked about reports of Neymar being a Manchester United transfer target: “When we have news… we will tell you.”

Manchester United are advancing in talks to extend Diogo Dalot’s contract. The conversations are going very well. The club’s plan remains to keep Dalot and get new long term deal done. There’s confidence to reach agreement soon.

PSV

Ruud van Nistelrooy has left his position as manager of PSV Eindhoven with immediate effect. He won’t even be in charge of the team during the last game against AZ. The 46-year-old won the Dutch Cup and the Dutch Super Cup in his only season in charge.

Real Madrid

Jude Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund

Borussia director Sebastian Kehl on Jude Bellingham: “In terms of bids, there’s still nothing on the table. There are rumours, but there’s nothing on the table.”

Real Madrid always planned to submit an official bid for Bellingham after this week to respect Dortmund in the Bundesliga title race.

Real Sociedad

Asier Illarramendi leaves Real Sociedad as free agent at the end of the current season. The former Real Madrid midfielder will be available for free on the market.

Southampton

Official: Southampton confirm in a club statement that Ruben Selles leaves his position as manager at the end of the season.

Russell Martin will be Southampton’s new head coach, full agreement in place — statement expected soon. Martin will sign a three year deal as new Southampton head coach, done and sealed — contract will also include option for further year.

Jason Wilcox’s appointment was instrumental in this appointment to propel the type of football Southampton want to play.

Tottenham

Negotiations will take place in the next hours between Feyenoord and Arne Slot’s representative to discuss the conditions of his potential departure. Compensation will be a crucial point. Tottenham will be informed on talks as Slot is the frontrunner for the Spurs job, though other candidates remain on their list as well.

Spurs and Arsenal scouts have monitored Edmond Tapsoba in recent games but the race is absolutely open — Bayer Leverkusen will only sell for huge bid, but he looks like one to watch in this summer’s market.
