Tottenham eyeing up move for versatile Englishman who will cost €25-30 million

Tottenham Hotspur are expected to make their move for the Manchester City attacking midfielder James McAtee at the end of the season.

According to TBR football, Nottingham Forest start on the 22-year-old midfielder as well, and it will be interesting to see if they can win the race for his signature. He has been linked with clubs like Newcastle United as well.

Despite being a squad player for Manchester City, McAtee has picked up seven goals in all competitions this season. His numbers are likely to improve when he is playing regularly. As per Esteemed Kompany, his fee could be around €25-30 million.

Tottenham need James McAtee

Tottenham could use someone like him, and it remains to be seen whether they can negotiate a reasonable deal with Manchester City. The 22-year-old is capable of operating in the number ten role as well as a winger. He will add goals and creativity to the Tottenham attack.

Timo Werner will leave the club when his loan deal expires, and Richarlison has been linked with a return to Everton. Spurs need someone who will add creativity and goals to the side. McAtee could also provide cover for James Maddison. He could be the ideal utility man for Spurs.

The player is still quite young, and he will only improve with coaching and experience. He has the attributes to develop into a top-class performer in the Premier League. He could be an important player for Tottenham over the years.

Nottingham Forest could use someone like him as well. Morgan Gibbs-White has been linked with an exit, and they would need to replace him if he moves on.

Tottenham could be a more attractive destination for the player, even though they are 16th in the league table. They are one of the traditional big clubs in the Premier League.

Also, they still have a chance of securing Champions League qualification for the next season if they win the UEFA Europa League. They have an ambitious project and a talented squad, the 22-year-old could fancy joining them if the opportunity presents itself.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have been monitoring him.
