Liverpool confirmed their Premier League title win with a win against Tottenham at Anfield on Sunday.
Arne Slot’s Liverpool side were completely dominant in the league this season with no side coming close to them.
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal showed title challenge but for the last few months, it has been clear which team were going to become the Premier League champions.
Reds attacker Cody Gakpo voiced his happiness after the Merseyside club won the Premier League title and hopes that Trent Alexander-Arnold is going to stay at the club to achieve more success.
Alexander-Arnold, one of Liverpool’s homegrown stars and their impressive performer over the course of the season, has yet to extend his contract beyond the current season, with Real Madrid reportedly circling.
Speaking to LFCTV during the title celebrations, Gakpo emphasized how crucial stability has been to Liverpool’s rise, and why keeping players like Alexander-Arnold is essential moving forward.
“The group didn’t change much from last season, so you can build on that,” Gakpo said.
“With Mo [Salah] and Virgil [van Dijk] staying, and hopefully Trent as well, you can keep building on that team.”
Liverpool are expected to be stronger next season

As Liverpool looks ahead, there’s a clear ambition to strengthen the squad.
They have won the Premier League but they struggled in the Champions League this season and that is what they will aim to achieve next season, success in the European competition.
The base is set for Liverpool to achieve more success in the coming seasons but a lot will depend on what they do in the summer transfer window.
All eyes will be on Alexander-Arnold in the next few weeks with the title decided now.
Keeping him at the club would be a major boost for the Reds but the delay in signing a new contract at Anfield is only pointing in one direction: he has made up his mind to leave.
Report: What Liverpool have done to keep Trent Alexander-Arnold at the club
I think struggled in the champions league is a bit off the mark won the group stages at a canter they came up against PSG just as Liverpool had a dip in form got to the Carabao Cup Final but to be honest even as Liverpool Fan it was great to see Newcastle lift silverware for the first time in 70 years domestically keeping TAA is not essential but would be a bonus but investment in the squad is required.
