Arsenal and Manchester City are among the clubs most interested in a potential transfer deal for Eintracht Frankfurt left-back Nathaniel Brown.
The Germany international has caught the eye of scouts across Europe after impressing in the Bundesliga, as first reported in my exclusive here for the Daily Briefing.
The Gunners already have options at left-back, but Mikel Arteta may be keen to explore the option of adding further depth to that department.
“Brown’s performances have caught the attention of scouts across Europe,” one source told me. “He’s really well-liked by City, Arsenal and Barcelona.”
Another added: “His defensive discipline, reading of the game, and tactical versatility make him a strong fit for English football. Financially, his current wage level is well within reach for Premier League clubs.”
What next for Nathaniel Brown amid Arsenal and Man City transfer interest?
It seems this is all still at an early stage, but it also looks inevitable that Brown will soon earn himself a big move.
The talented 22-year-old would likely cost around €50m, but his club aren’t under too much pressure to sell as he’s under contract until 2030.
Brown is attracting plenty of headlines and it will be interesting to see how this translates into concrete talks or offers in the months ahead.
While a January move perhaps seems unlikely, this will surely be one to watch for next summer.
Should Nathaniel Brown choose Arsenal or Man City?
Both Arsenal and City will surely be seen as tempting projects for Brown as he considers his options for the future.
Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola once again look set to go head-to-head for this season’s Premier League title, so Brown would surely feel he’s joining a winning side, whichever one he joins.
Still, it could be hard to play regularly in two squads packed full of world class players, so that might be another factor for him to consider if any other clubs enter into the equation.
It is good trying to add additional players but another thing is using them or getting confused of whom he will use Arteta is not helping matters himself how will he not giving Max Doman a start till now to be honest he is not doing anything to his development how can he do that thing in the under 21 with an incredible goal yet he is not yet giving an opportunity Arteta forget so soon how that boy run many big players down during the pre season commiting them to earn us penalties with his natural physics he can run any player down, he Arteta also forgot Ethan Nwaneri allowing him to rust on the bench for me if I where him I will use Timber and Califori as my central defense Ben White right hand defense Myles lewis Skelly left defense on the left wing Martinneli is more preferable than Noni Mmadueke I am not saying he is not good but Aura matters we have seen how Martinneli run riot against Aston Villa before why not give that edge Bukayo Saka Martin Ordegaide and Gabriel Martinneli have been a long time partners and Arteta will instruct his players to not allow opponents to return the ball in our own half they must learn to keep the ball out of our own half our defense is like it is crumbling though I understand that our two pillars in the person of Gabriel mahele and William Saliba are yet to be fit but that not withstanding Timber, Califori, White and Skelly are there before Mosquira got injured when this kind of opportunities happened the latter will cease the opportunity and establish himself but all hope are not lost everyone are saying the thing that we are the most consistent team it left for us to regroup again.
