Newcastle United are making “serious moves” to sign Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, well-connected sources have told CaughtOffside.
High-up figures with close ties to the agents industry have confirmed that Newcastle are showing a strong interest in Rashford this summer.
The England international is widely expected to leave Man Utd after falling out of favour since Ruben Amorim became manager.
This led to Rashford going out on loan to Aston Villa for the second half of last season, but he’s now expected to move on to a different club again.
As has been widely reported, CaughtOffside understands that Rashford’s preference is for a move to Barcelona, but it remains to be seen if he’ll be a priority for the Catalan giants.

Marcus Rashford wanted by Newcastle
Newcastle are in the market for attacking players this summer, with the Athletic reporting that they had a bid rejected for Nottingham Forest winger Anthony Elanga.
Rashford could now be emerging as an alternative for Newcastle, and he’d likely be cheaper, as Sky Sports previously stated his asking price was around £40m.
For now, however, sources have told CaughtOffside that Newcastle are seeking a loan deal for Rashford, even if United would prefer a permanent sale.
Other big clubs queuing up for Marcus Rashford transfer
Still, other suitors could also get involved in the race for Rashford, who has admirers all across Europe.
Tottenham are another Premier League side showing an interest, while the 27-year-old is also on the radar of Serie A giants AC Milan, Juventus and Napoli, as well as La Liga duo Atletico Madrid and Real Betis, plus Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.
Newcastle’s interest is the strongest for the time being, but it remains to be seen if they can come to an agreement with United over this deal.

He’s not being remotely considered by Newcastle United. His output is minimal on the pitch and has been for years, he’s a loner and won’t fit in to the Newcastle United mold, MU made a huge mistake giving him big wages, but they’ve been a shambles for a while. Not better than Gordon or Barnes either, he might have been once, but those days have long gone.
100%agree with the above comment, he’s bone idol
Newcastle are NOT interested in Rashford. To suggest that we are is pathetic bedroom journalism at best and an outright click bait lie at worst. Mark Brus is an embarassment to journalism. Remember his name so that you never bother to read his insane, laxy ramblings again.
Man Utd management made a mistake by offering Rashford a huge contract nd he performed dismally. He is now big headed together with Garnacho who thinks he is a world class player whilst decision making is not good.Where he needs to pass to teammates he shoots vice versa
It seems that Loan is only solution for him and company! Whose gonna pay huge price for them players, Garfield will have his collection of T shirts from rival clubs while still contracted at his club. Let Eddie, Bruno, Jolin etc., teach and train him harder than ever in his present club. Barcelona??? Pass Newcastle first lol! Loan the whole bunch to Newcastle lol!
